Applicant Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Medical Science or equivalent.
At least three (3) years of Post qualification experience in a reputable Hospital or Eye Clinic and should be conversant with some of these equipment listed below:
- Autho-Refractor
- SlimpLamp
- Computerized Visual
- Field Analyzer
- Auto-Keratometer
- Non- Contact Tonometer
- Auto-Lensmeter
Applicant must be very good in some of these:
- Comprehensive examination of the eyes
- Review of the general health of the eyes
- Various types of refraction
- Refraction of post operative patients
- Knowledge of laser procedures
- Contact lens fitting
- Examination with slit lamp, retinoscopeand ophthalmoscope
- Assisting the Ophthalmologist
- Treatment of minor Pathological disorders
- All other incidental procedures relating to optometry.
